The Highly Gifted Magnet (HGM) was established in 1989 as part of the voluntary integration program of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

For prospective families

North Hollywood High School has a large selection of clubs, teams, and enrichment programs for students to develop interests and skills beyond the classroom.

The Friends of the HGM, Inc. (FHGM) is a 501c3 non-profit corporation run by parent volunteers. It exists to maintain the excellent programs, activities, and staff of the HGM.
