Student: Funding Request

NHHS: HGM Experience Fund

The NHHS: HGM Experience Fund aims to ensure that all students can fully participate in the NOHO: HGM community, regardless of financial circumstance.

Toward this end, discretionary funding is available for auxiliary expenses. HGM community members may submit an application for expenses for which their family needs financial support. Such requests include, but are not limited to, fees for clubs, teams, school related activities, academic supplies, travel costs to some tournaments, etc.

All financial requests are confidential, and will be processed by Mr. Bradbury, HGM Coordinator and HGM staff only. Requests will not be seen or evaluated by the FHGM.

Forms to apply for funding from the Experience Fund are available in the HGM Magnet office. Forms may also be downloaded through the PDF link below. Please submit completed forms to the HGM Magnet office.

Requests should be submitted at least one week in advance to the magnet office in order to be considered. Requests must be signed by a parent or guardian.

A submitted application does not guarantee full or partial funding. Given that there is limited funding each year, requests will be evaluated and processed by the magnet office to determine if requests can be granted. Students/families are welcome to submit multiple requests, on an as needed basis. Students are not limited to any number per academic year. Each request is evaluated individually, therefore even if one request is not granted, it is possible following requests will be approved.

Questions regarding the NOHO: HGM Experience fund may be directed to Mr. Bradbury at eab21361@lausd.net.

The NHHS: HGM Experience Fund is made possible through partnership with the Friends of the Highly Gifted Magnet, a 501c3 designed to support the needs of the students and staff at NHHS: HGM. Contributions in support of the Experience Fund can be made by DONATING to the FHGM.
